There are two printmaking workshops in the base, with a total construction area of more than 3000 square meters. They are well-equipped with facilities for relief, intaglio, lithography, silkscreen printmaking, and have employed skilled technicians from domestic and abroad.
The Printmaking Base is like a big family. The artists in residence here are both guests and hosts. The Base provides artists with the best possible living and creative conditions. We treat each other sincerely and wholeheartedly. The daily experience of work and life also breeds reciprocal affection and forms a deep friendship with other artists. When it comes to an artist's birthday and important festivals, the Base will organize various activities and parties. Every artist who comes here will be touched by the youthful vitality. The happy smiles, unrestrained dancing and beautiful singing from artists have convinced them that they come here not only to create prints, but also to deeply experience China and Guanlan. At the Base, artists gather together and celebrate their friendship and new life experiences. The collision of ideas also brings new attempts in the creative styles, methods and concepts. Numerous artists with different personalities from different regions came to Guanlan and develop together in the same field of printmaking. The charm of printmaking lies in the thoughts and creativity of artists.
Artists’ Utopia

A total of 104 artists from 42 countries participated in the large-scale international exhibition tours and academic exchanges, completing 10400 pieces of prints, donating 17 printmaking studios, and conducting 11 exchange exhibitions.
